Kevin Lu

Adam is a senior majoring in both Computer Science and Economics all while dancing every week at the RU Ballroom Dance club. He started dancing his first semester at Rutgers and was at first skeptical about whether or not he should stay dancing in the club. But after months of practice and a few competitions, he’s now always eager to dance and competes whenever the opportunity arises. Currently, he dances Standard and Latin at the Gold level and strives to be able to compete at the Open level for both styles during his time at college.
Susan Teplinsky

Susan Teplinsky

Stephanie is a senior majoring in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and minoring in Business Administration. Stephanie began dancing her freshman year, and is now dancing in Gold with hopes to reach Open. Aside from dancing in the ballroom club, she is very active around campus as a member of Phi Mu Fraternity, GlobeMed, the Global Ambassadors, and the Collaborative Mentoring Program. She also performs research at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and volunteers as an emergency medical technician for River Road Rescue Squad and ultimately hopes to attend medical school.
Jon Chernov

Jonathan Chernov

Alison Bansil is a sophomore in the Engineering Honors Academy. She never danced ballroom until this past fall semester, which means that she is still a newcomer, but she hopes to definitely climb up the ranks. She competed as a newcomer lead in her first ballroom dance competition at DCDI this past fall. Outside of ballroom, Alison is a part of the HARU Kpop Dance Club. She hopes to major in Civil Engineering and minor in Spanish.
Keriann Walsh

Keriann Walsh

Mariam Zaky is a sophomore in the school of Arts and Sciences. She has recently declared a major in Exercise Science and Sport Studies, and might double major in French Cultural Studies. She would like to pursue physical therapy as her career. She joined the ballroom dancing club this year, and she loved it from the very first practice. Her first competition was at UPenn where she got a ribbon in Cha Cha dance at the newcomer level. She looks forward to participating in more competitions, and improving her dance.
Emeline Buchman

Emeline Buchman

Daniel has been competitively dancing for just over 12 years and this is his second time leading the Rutgers Annual Competition. His biggest accomplishment in DanceSport is winning the NDCA BYU Nationals in the Pre-Championship International Standard category in 2014. His most current achievements include placing in the top 20 at the NDCA BYU Nationals in Pre-Championship International Latin this past March and placing 1 st in Pre- Championship Latin at Dc Dancesport Inferno in 2016. He is currently pursuing a Business Analytics and Information Technology major and an Economics minor.
